| Wow. I'm a little upset with myself, because I underestimated either my condition, or the difficulty of this trail. This is a really tough trail, and I was hurting going up. Hopefully it will make me stronger for next week's craziness. | |

I got to the Ski Hut in 1hr 10min, and kept trucking right by. Another day I'll go check it out. |

Up from the Ski Hut, snow is still there. It wasn't too bad, lots of other's footsteps everywhere. |

The snow was fairly level for awhile, but then got pretty steep, so I moved right a bit to where there wasn't much snow. |

Unfortunately, it was loose, sandy, and STEEP! But only about 10 minutes of this. |

Then finally the top of ridge. This is looking down.....the ski hut trail goes down to the left, across the snow is the Bear Canyon Trail down to the Visitor's Center. |
